"Between One Heaven" is a male duet created by Ederson Xavier for the Bale do Teatro Basileu e França Institute of Arts in Goiania/Goias/Brazil. The duet explores static forms and spatial movement, representing social polarities and self-inquiry, where gender identity, tension and release, restraints and let it go, hides and seeks are the tools for this enterprise. It strives to arrive at an ethereal place, where heaven stands, and normality does not exist, but the search for the authentic individual. The material flows between classical positions and situations of social struggle, creating an entanglement and drive between construction and deconstruction.
